Eyre Peninsula Tour (9 days)

With the announcement recently that the South Australian border is reopening to other state residents,     I have designed this short trip to take advantage of our newfound freedom. Mt Ive Station and Lake Gairdner are favourite places of mine (Vic) so we will visit both of these spots, enjoying the 4wd tracks on Mt Ive and the spectacular stark white salt lake of Lake Gairdner. I have included a full day tour through the raw and spectacular Gawler Ranges with a camp beside Lake Gairdner so we can walk out onto its vast white salt plain at night to see the billions of stars stretch down to the horizon, if you love time exposure photography you will love this special night.

Then we make our way to Pildappa Rock to look over the vast farming plains that surround it, they may well be bathed in bright yellow canola. We can have lunch at the Poochera Hotel before reaching Ceduna for the night. Over the next few days your guide will take you some of the best coastal beach and sand dune driving in the country with a visit to Davenport Creek and Fowlers Bay, where you will conquer the giant sand dunes and enjoy driving up a pristine beach or two.

We will also visit the world famous surf beach at Cactus Beach and the windmill capital of Australia at Penong, Then we drive the incredibly diverse and beautiful coast line from Streaky Bay to Coffin Bay and explore the stunning beautiful white sandy beaches of Coffin Bay before heading back to Port Augusta . This short 9 day trip commences and ends in Port Augusta which can be reached in a couple of days from the East Coast. Or you cold join us on our Flinders Ranges trip which is now scheduled immediately prior to this tour.

Includes entry to all national parks, entry and track access fees Mt Ive Station, station and all camping fees.

For those who are not keen to camp, we have also added an Acccommodated Option for this tour. This includes 9 nights accommodation plus entry to all national parks, entry and track access fees Mt Ive Station, and all station fees. You will need to supply your own meals.
